Discover the power of biography-based art coaching  with art therapeutic methods – for yourself and your clients

Why biography-based art coaching?

The psyche first expresses itself in images, long before physical symptoms or verbal complaints become visible. These images are like a map of the soul: they make hidden conflicts, resources and desires tangible - and enable therapists and coaches to recognize the core of an issue incredibly quickly.

  • Use the language of images to address difficult topics directly.

  • Create clarity about unconscious patterns and their effects.

  • Activate resources that are hidden in your clients’ life stories.

  • Support change by creatively retelling and transforming old stories.

"Hildrun is an online seminar professional. You couldn't imagine that art therapy would work online, but Hildrun can. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but she also has a great sense of humor."

What you can take away from the training and what it enables you to do.

  • You will rediscover yourself and see others with new understanding and compassion — without pressure or guilt.
  • You will learn to recognise underlying patterns quickly, saving time and bringing more clarity to your work with people.
  • Each module includes reading and reflection material, allowing you to deepen your understanding at your own pace.

Network

  • In the members’ WhatsApp group, you will meet colleagues and like-minded people to exchange ideas and collaborate.
  • In our shared Padlet space, you can post your images, reflections and insights, and learn from others
  • The community supports connection - across countries and professions  whether you come from therapy, coaching, education or simply curiosity about art and biography.

… no matter which therapy, coaching or teaching background you come from.

Do you sometimes feel that routine and time pressure leave little space for genuine connection in your work?

Our training helps you to regain depth, artistic perspective and new tools for working with clients in a more inspired, sustainable way.

Frequently Asked Questions...

  • Yes, this is possible and has already been successfully implemented in some cases. First, clarify with your employer whether they recognize this training. If you need additional documents, I will be happy to help you.

  • If you feel addressed, then you are almost certainly in the right place. If you would still like to discuss things again, just write me a message at [email protected] and we will find a time for a non-binding discussion. Let's explore new paths together - for you and your clients!

  • Yes. The programme welcomes both experienced professionals and individuals beginning a new path in art-based or biographical work.
If you already work as a coach, therapist or educator, you will expand your practical repertoire with art-therapy-based tools.
If you are new to this field, the training offers a structured way to explore these methods safely and build a foundation for future professional use.
Artistic talent or special skills are not required.
  • The certificate qualifies you to apply biography-based and art-based coaching methods in your professional or independent practice.

Graduates may work with individuals or groups as Biography-Based Art Coaches, integrating art, embodiment and life reflection in a structured, ethical way.
It also documents all completed learning hours, including coaching sessions, individual mentoring and self-study, with an ECTS-aligned overview for possible academic recognition.
  • In art therapy, every image carries traces of life experience.
Through guided artistic processes, these traces become visible and meaningful.
The training shows how to recognise such biographical themes in images and how to work with them respectfully and professionally.
  • The materials are simple and easy to find: colours for painting, drawing tools, clay or similar modelling materials, and everyday or natural objects.
A phone or camera can also be used for film or photo reflection.
You don’t need professional art supplies — whatever you already have at home will work.
  • We approach transgenerational themes through simple artistic activities that make inherited patterns visible in a gentle way.
By working with images, colour and form, participants learn to recognise what belongs to their own story and what may have been carried from previous generations.
This process allows differentiation and release through artistic transformation rather than analysis
